Every Thursday evening we host a meditation evening that you are welcome to join freely and without obligation. No prior meditation experience is required. We guide a variety of exercises that support you in slowing down, connecting with yourself, and standing peacefully in life. The evenings take place from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Oudegracht aan de Werf 328. Below you will find the agenda, and further down you can read more about the meditation evenings.

Relaxation meditation

Relaxation meditation
During these meditation evenings, we make space for relaxation. By bringing your attention to your body, you come home to yourself. You practice not having to do anything for a while. In this way, space and lightness can arise. We often close with a guided lying-down exercise.
Meditation with a theme

Meditation with a theme
During other meditation evenings, we explore a specific theme. Alongside regular meditation and check-in moments, there is also space for reflection and inspiration. Sometimes Ella or Joris will share inspiration. At other times, you may engage in mindful communication or a deep listening exercise, where you connect in conversation with another participant. These sessions offer insight in a gentle and accessible way.
Specials

Specials
Ella and Joris also enjoy occasionally doing something special during a Plek om te Zijn evening. This may include:
- Duo meditations, where you connect with a meditation partner through, for example, eye contact or moments of sharing. You are very welcome to come on your own; we form pairs on the spot.
- Ceremonies, in which we use rituals to bring mindful attention to changes in your life.
- Osho Dynamic Meditation, using movement and energy work to release tension and be present in the here and now.
For every meditation evening…
Booking options
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and move freely. Tea, water, a mat, and meditation cushions are provided, so in principle you don’t need to bring anything. If you arrive 5 to 10 minutes in advance, you can settle in calmly and we can start on time. More information on how to find Plek om te Zijn can be found on the location page.
