Welcome to the 'Plek om te zijn' (in english: the place to BE)!
Are you often busy in your head? Are you preoccupied with the future?
Welcome, you are not alone. Our busy lives and challenges can turn us into a 'walking head'. We then solve our 'problems' with thinking. We find the situation as it is not good enough and we experience a feeling of (continuous) restlessness.
Fortunately, we can learn to deal with situations differently. We can learn to stay in touch with our feelings. We can learn to be more and more in the present moment and experience a sense of peace and tranquility there. And the great thing is: everyone can learn this through mindfulness. Practicing Mindfulness is for anyone who feels the motivation to invest in their 0wn wellbeing.

Each week we received new exercises and theory, which we explored together, looking at how to integrate the concepts of mindfulness and the meditations into our daily lives. The atmosphere was very open and relaxed, with a silent day in week 7 as one of the highlights. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

8-week MBSR training
During the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training, you will gradually learn to incorporate mindfulness into your daily life. As a result, you will experience reduced stress and a greater sense of lightness in your life.
Single meditation sessions
Every week there are single meditation sessions at the Plek om te Zijn (e.g. every thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM). It's a great opportunity to get a feel for the atmosphere and experience what meditation can mean for you. Additionally, we've experienced that connecting with other conscious people leads to special moments.
